I've really enjoyed making videos in 2016.  They are much more time consuming than writing a post but they give you a visual to go along with the read.  With that said my wife purchased me a real camera for my birthday/Christmas gift.  It's a Nikon dslr so I'm going to try and share some better quality images soon.   But until I can get that read up here's a video from my last trip in 2016.  If you open it in YouTube and run it there it'll play much better.  Let me know what you think.

South Arkansas bass fishing.

Kayak fly fishing isn't the same as fly fishing.  Loading, unloading, and paddling a 80lb kayak every day for most of the month can be exhausting  When that happens I go back to my old ways.  Here's a video of some fun bass fishing from last week.  Not complaining, I love kayak fly fishing...I just love fishing more.  Hope you enjoy...

It's true I have several addictions.  My newest is video edits.  When I get to put some grass ghosts on film it gets worse.  Here's my latest edit.  These guys pull back...you be the judge.

We're having some great weather around here.  I've been able to get out several times each week and catch a few fish.  

Headed to Florida next month with some guys from JK for my first big trip of the year.  I hope I can get something on video for y'all.  Probably won't but maybe a few of them will.  I'm excited about the chance at permit and bonefish.  Here are a few crab flies I'm sure will scare away anything on the flats.

My fascination continues

Anything and everything, "driftless", catches my attention.  The more I learn, the more fascinated I become.  Which means more searching, reading, and watching.  Check out this cool documentary.  It'll take 26 minutes of your life to watch, but I think it's worth it.

"Lace Lock" video tip

As an active runner, I also check out running tips but don't usually post them here.  Yet, I ran across this video about creating a "lace lock", seems legit for running.  I'm also going to try it on my wading boots and my shoes for wet wading....and that makes it fishing related.  I'll report back.
