RT 2015 - AR Ozarks SMB

Look who finally figured out how to post from his phone.  I'll make this quick and let the pictures do the talking....seriously that's the best way.  Starting in the middle, but will do the driftless justice when I get to a CPU.

Woke up to rain on Thursday morning. I threw everything on the truck and headed to MO.

N

Was going to camp on the Current River, but there was just way to many people. I hate crowds and campgrounds.  Decided to keep moving until I made my way to the Ozarks.

Decided to camp on the river and gathered what I needed from my supplies and I was floating before lunch. The best fishing was just before sun set and 1st few hours Sat.   It was some of the best SMB fishing I have experienced.  Until the floaters caught up with me.

But for several hours I was all smiles.  Still am!!

As you can see the pictures make words useless.  It was awesome.  Still fishing...more later

Part 1 here:

    1. They sure are fun. Even the little ones! One of my favorite fish to catch.

You remind me of myself when I was younger, put me on water and I was happy. Looks like an awesome trip, continue to keep all us posted. Thanks for sharing

    1. I've always loved being on, in, around, under...anything water! Hard to explain the feeling to someone that doesn't understand...I'm sure you get it!

  4. Hi, Drew. A few things I would like to add here. Thanks for sharing your trip with us. Fishing for Smallmouth Bass is one of the true angling pleasures in life. I don't get as much opportunity as you do, but, I know of their strength and fun on being hooked. Secondly, I have often said. "Every Picture Tells A Story". Well done, my friend.

    1. Thanks Mel, I could not agree with you more. I've been floating and fishing those Ozarks streams since I was about 5...it never gets old and every Spring I'm called to return...I can't "not" go. Glad the pictures came through.
